Politics & Photojournalism

I am back! After having taken long vacations, I am back to please your eyes with my blog.
I am using my first post of the year to present you the work of a Quebecer: Jacques Nadeau, who works as a photojournalist since about twenty years. His photographs are now published by Le Devoir, but he has been a freelance photograph in the past.
Here is a photograph of René Lévesque, the most famous of all Québecois politicians, and, according to me, the most interesting of all too. Lévesque himself was a journalist before entering politics, and he was all but conventional.
Thus, Nadeau's photograph of him represents this unique politician very well: it shows how he did not care about the etiquette and about looking good to win votes. Not only is he smoking a cigarette, but he is also sitting on the pool table, something that you are forbidden to do.
Moreover, I think the composition of the photograph is pretty good. Nadeau has a lot of talent and he knows his job pretty well. Therefore, I will probably post more of his works later.

Oh! And happy new year!
